Pine Woods Farm
In August 1997, we had our first 'up close and personal' encounter with a llama and our journey began.  We did our homework, read as much as we could, visited several farms, and in November 97 decided to start our small herd with 2 females, Sabrina and Blanca.  We spent the next 6 months gaining our hands-on experience and putting to practice that which we learned from a variety of resources.  Our goal was to be ready to breed in the Spring and in May of 1998, both were bred.  Those next 11 months were full of joy and anticipation and in May and June of 1999, our first crias were born - Primogenito (aka Primo) and Isabella.  The sire was a lovely, correct, multi-color male but in each case the babies were born looking like mirror images of their moms and hence, our new farm logo was born.  We added 2 other youngsters - a buddy for Primo and another young female closer to Isabella's age - and that brings us to date.

Our intent is to maintain a small, family herd just for the love of it - we do not anticipate offering animals for sale but are always happy to answer questions or provide assistance to new owners.  In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the photos we've chosen for our website.  We've included pictures of all 6 llamas, as well as our 2 senior citizen horses, 2 dogs, and last but not least, 2 cats.
